Feeling 22!
So this week I turned 22!
I also got my final results for my degree, so by 22 I have an undergraduate degree!
Birthday's have never been a massive event in my family. We always celebrated with family except for my 12th and 21st birthdays. So to the surprise of many of my co-workers all I had planned was work (insert monkey-covering-eyes emoji). To their credit they started my day with donuts, cookie cake and cupcakes before 12pm. Keep in mind I work in a gym and the irony is very strong. It was all so yummy! I then had a BBQ with my boyfriend and his lovely flatmates. A big thank you to Josh for the yummy steak and for sacrificing your pinky thumb.
Heres a collection of my snap story goodies :)
Looking back over the last year, it has definitely been the most stressful. Though the excitement of finishing my degree was so real, I think all students can understand hitting the wall in one way or another. For me that was my final semester. There was nothing in me that wanted to finish my degree other then the fact that if I didn't I would have wasted three years of my life. Now that its finally over I am so proud of myself and my fellow peers for getting s*** done! I am also very thankful to all my family, friends and tutors that helped me along the way. Without all the support I had from you all, I know for a fact I wouldn't have done well. I also want to say sorry for all the grumpy mood swings that were ever present when I was pumping out assignments night after night or prepping for exams.
The worst part of this year was not being able to visit my beautiful Canada :'( That really sucked! It wasn't helped by New Zealand turning on the wettest, gloomiest, coldest, other-est-word that references crappy, winter of my life. Now thats probably really overdramatic but it honestly felt like all the life had been sucked out of me with the sun not shining. But on my birthday week the Lord smiled down and gave New Zealand a beautiful sunny week.
Though I am very thankful for all I got, the sun was probably the best unintentional present I could have! Here are some picture of my day out in the City of Sails eating a Kiwi staple and wondering around like a tourist.
